Sanet experts provide consulation to companies in Belgium, Italy and Slovenia

Companies in Austria, Switzerland and Germany on the agenda for November

During the month of September, 14 companies in four different countries sought out and were granted consultations with the expert advisors of Sanet on the topic of doing business in Thailand and other ASEAN states. The discussions focused on available market data, the chances of a production venture in Thailand, and the right set-up for production, sales and distribution.

In addition to interested companies from Belgium and Italy, the month’s highlight was an event with companies from the Slovenian economy. Alexander Alles, head of the Sanet ASEAN ADVISORS, and Dr. Gunter Denk, chairman of the Sanet board, presented at a seminar organized by the Slovenian Ministry for Economic Development and Technology on the chances and risks of expanding sales and production for European companies in the Southeast Asian economic region.

There was a wide variety when it came to the various branches interested in Southeast Asia: not only the industrial sector but also electronics companies expressed interest, as well as environmental tech companies and manufacturers of consumer goods and household items. Sanet’s company advisors in Bangkok and their German-Thai legal experts from Sanet Legal Ltd. are now anticipating various follow up projects build on these initial consultancy sessions.

Due to the high number of consulting requests in the month of September, Sanet was unable to schedule a visit to all companies that expressed interest. To make up for this, Sanet has already planned their next tour, which is scheduled for the late November/early December period. This time, Sanet will be providing initial consultations to companies in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The highlight of the upcoming travels will be the event „Efficient Distribution in ASEAN and India – Experiences and Practical Examples” on November 29th in Düsseldorf, which is being organized in cooperation with the Sanet partners Dr. Wamser and Batra as well as the German Asia-Pacific Business Association. Further details on this will be revealed at a later time.

Companies wishing to secure an individual appointment for a non-binding initial consultation on Southeast Asia during late November or early December may do so by contacting info@sanet.co.th

Sales in Southeast Asia: Great prices, fair margins, but still no profit?

Case Study: Sales partners abroad can be oh-so-tricky

When a client from Germany came to us, we were just as surprised by his story as he was. His highly specialized company had gained 14% of market shares worldwide for synthetic materials.

In Thailand, where they had been in a mutually exclusive partnership, their market shares hovered around 3% despite their fair prices and their partner’s fair margin. The company’s management had had it up to here!

This is how you find the perfect employees in Thailand!

HR expectations of European companies need to be understood fully

Successful managers know the value of loyal employees. And especially in Thailand, where the demand for highly qualified personnel outweighs the supply, it is important for European companies to not make any mistakes when it comes to hiring new employees.

In this regard, local human resource departments in Thailand are unfortunately often not capable of understanding the long-term vision of the European management in detail and consequently fail in hiring the right staff.

This is why Sanet offers with CREATING CAREERS a recruiting and headhunting service that aims to understand the long-term strategy and personnel expectations of the European management for the Thai market in detail and thus guarantees a highly reliable evaluation of each qualified candidate.

This is how European companies find exactly the employee that they are looking for and which match their long-term strategic vision in the Thai market. For more information visit recruiting.sanet.co.th or contact info@sanet.co.th.
